Customer Review Summary

Fender AM Pro II Strat OWT Review

The Fender AM Pro II Strat OWT is truly an exceptional instrument that stands out among the many guitars I have owned, including various models from Gibson and Gretsch. From the moment I unboxed it, I was captivated by its elegant appearance and flawless finish. The Olympic White colour paired with a stunning tortoiseshell pickguard creates a striking visual appeal.

The rosewood fretboard offers a buttery smooth playing experience, and the guitar produces a wide array of tones that cater to any Fender sound enthusiast’s desires. The volume control is particularly impressive; it delivers full power without compromising tonal quality, allowing for excellent sound shaping with the pickups. The new pull function adds a refreshing versatility that enhances the overall playing experience.

The two-point tremolo system is stable and performs well under heavy use, although it does have its limitations. Despite this, it provides a fun playing experience, and the guitar remains remarkably in tune. The neck is smooth and comfortable, making it a joy to play, while the frets are impeccably finished, contributing to an enjoyable tactile feel.

However, I did encounter some minor issues. The original V-mod pickups felt a bit lacking in dynamics, prompting me to replace them with Texas Specials for an improved sound. Additionally, there was a manufacturing defect with the nut, which required replacement. Such issues are surprising at this price point, but they do not overshadow the guitar’s overall quality.

With its solid construction and thoughtful design, this guitar has quickly become one of my favourites. It offers not only a classic Strat sound but also the responsiveness needed for creative expression. Whether you’re a seasoned player or just starting, the Fender AM Pro II Strat OWT is a worthy investment that inspires musicality and joy.

In conclusion, this guitar is worth every penny, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-end instrument that combines beauty, playability, and tonal versatility.
