Customer Review Summary
The Fender Clapton Strat Signature TR is undoubtedly a stunning electric guitar, delivering an exceptional sound that many find overwhelming. Its blend of vintage and modern features, including an active mid-boost preamp, adds a desirable twist to its tonal capabilities. The playability is remarkable, with the neck designed to Eric Clapton’s specifications, allowing for nuanced expression through dynamics and vibrato.
However, there are some concerns regarding the build quality. Some users have noted that the pickguard is poorly fitted, with screws misaligned and some appearing too loose. This can affect the overall aesthetic and functionality. The quality of the control knobs has also been called into question, as they feel somewhat cheap in comparison to the premium nature of the guitar.
Despite these drawbacks, many appreciate the excellent setup right out of the box, with perfect intonation and string action. The guitar’s lightweight nature and versatility make it a great option for players of all levels, particularly beginners looking for an easier instrument to handle.
While it may not be the perfect Strat for everyone, especially given the unique features of the Clapton model, it offers a unique sound profile that sets it apart from other guitars in its price range. The Noiseless pickups provide a clean sound without the typical single-coil hum, making it suitable for various musical styles.
In conclusion, the Fender Clapton Strat Signature TR is a beautiful instrument with an outstanding sound and playability, though potential buyers should be aware of the noted quality control issues. Overall, it represents a solid investment for those seeking a distinctive guitar with character.
