Harley Benton Fusion-T EMG HT Roasted SBK Review: User guide & verdict

Customer Review Summary

Harley Benton Fusion-T EMG HT Roasted SBK: This guitar is an absolute steal for its price, offering features and quality that rival much more expensive models. The matte black finish and roasted maple neck are visually stunning, and the neck feels comfortable to play, albeit slightly thicker than some might expect. The EMG pickups deliver a rich, powerful sound, perfect for both heavy distortion and clean tones, making it versatile for various musical styles.

Setup out of the box is generally good, with many noting the nut cut perfectly and the action being close to ideal, although some have reported needing minor adjustments for optimal playability. The guitar does have a tendency toward neck dive, particularly when standing, but this can be mitigated with a good strap or by adjusting the tuners.

While the overall construction is solid, a few minor quality control issues have been noted, such as fret sprout and some sharp frets. A few users experienced issues with the input jack not securing properly, which can affect playability. However, these are not deal-breakers, especially considering the guitar’s excellent tonal capabilities.

The stainless steel frets are a highlight, providing durability and smooth playability once polished. Some users have found the pickups to be a bit bright or lacking in warmth compared to other models, but overall, they perform well across genres. Many have praised the guitar’s ability to handle heavy metal riffs as well as clean sounds effectively.

In summary, the Harley Benton Fusion-T EMG HT Roasted SBK is a fantastic choice for those seeking an affordable yet high-quality guitar. Its combination of aesthetics, playability, and sound quality makes it a worthy investment, especially for metal enthusiasts. For anyone considering a guitar in this price range, this model should definitely be on your radar.
