Customer Review Summary
The Duesenberg Starplayer TV LH BK is a beautifully crafted guitar that delivers a versatile and powerful sound, responding exceptionally well to varying playing styles. Its playability is outstanding, offering absolute comfort and excellent sustain, making it suitable for a wide range of musical genres, particularly rock, pop, and blues.
The guitar features a warm P90 pickup along with a humbucker in the bridge position, which enhances its versatility beyond initial expectations. While primarily sought for blues, it also excels with indie and fuzz tones, showcasing its adaptability.
One notable aspect is the Duesenberg tremolo system, which not only maintains tuning stability but also adds character to the overall sound. The craftsmanship is impeccable, with attention to detail evident in everything from the knobs to the finish, which some have found superior even to comparable brands like Rickenbacker.
However, there are a couple of minor drawbacks to consider. The left-handed model has the Duesenberg logo on the truss rod cover upside down, a remnant from the right-handed version. Additionally, it is delivered without a case, which feels somewhat lacking given the price point.
Overall, the Duesenberg Starplayer TV LH BK stands out as an exceptional guitar with a unique sound and an impressive quality-to-price ratio, making it a fantastic choice for any musician looking for reliability and versatility.
