Customer Review Summary
The Gibson Les Paul Modern Figured CB is a stunning guitar that combines beautiful aesthetics with modern features. The AAA flame finish in cobalt blue is absolutely breathtaking, truly a 10 out of 10. The neck is a joy to play, offering a comfortable experience that feels far removed from the traditional “log” necks of older Les Paul models.
However, while the sound quality is exquisite and the sustain is incredible, there are some issues that have surfaced. Some users have noted inconsistencies in the craftsmanship, particularly with the binding on the neck and body, which can feel uneven and poorly finished. Additionally, the setup out of the box may not meet expectations, with some guitars requiring adjustments for optimal playability.
The included guitar strap does not match the premium nature of the instrument, being too narrow and unpadded, which can be disappointing for a guitar at this price point. Furthermore, the pickup selector and jack input have been reported to have quality issues, leading to concerns over durability.
Despite these setbacks, once properly set up, the guitar is reported to perform exceptionally well, with a wide range of tonal possibilities thanks to its push/pull controls. It is clear that this model offers a rich and versatile sound, making it a worthy addition for any serious player.
In summary, while the Gibson Les Paul Modern Figured CB delivers in terms of sound and playability, attention to detail in manufacturing could be improved. It is advisable to thoroughly test the guitar and consider adjustments before making a final decision on its purchase.
