Customer Review Summary
The Harley Benton CST-24T Purple Burst is an impressive guitar that delivers exceptional value for its price. Upon receiving it, I found that it required only a typical setup and a pair of fresh strings to shine. The aesthetics are stunning, and it certainly looks like it belongs to a much higher price tier.
The build quality is remarkable, with no visible flaws such as paint damage or rough frets. The guitar arrived well-set up, with a comfortable string action and excellent intonation. Although I initially found the weight and the thicker neck a bit surprising, I quickly adapted to it and appreciated the overall feel of the instrument.
The pickups perform adequately for home use, offering a decent clean sound and the ability to split coils for versatility. However, the output can be somewhat weak in split mode. The Wilkinson tremolo system works well but may require some adjustment for personal preference. The tuning machines are functional, though upgrading to locking tuners could improve tuning stability, especially if you plan on using the tremolo aggressively.
In terms of playability, the neck is smooth and comfortable, making it enjoyable to play for extended periods. The guitar’s sound quality is comparable to significantly more expensive models, and it serves well across various genres such as hard rock, pop, and funk.
Overall, the Harley Benton CST-24T Purple Burst stands out as an excellent choice for beginners and intermediate players alike. It boasts a beautiful finish, solid construction, and an impressive tonal range, making it a valuable addition to any guitarist’s collection. Highly recommended for those seeking quality without breaking the bank!
