Customer Review Summary
Harley Benton TE-62DB LH LPB Review:
The Harley Benton TE-62DB LH LPB is a truly stunning guitar, featuring a beautiful double-bound body that catches the eye. The finish is impressive, with no visible blemishes, and the overall craftsmanship is commendable for its price point. The neck is smooth and comfortable, making playability a joy, and the frets are well-finished, although a few sharp edges can be found that are easily smoothed out.
Sound-wise, this Telecaster delivers the classic Tele tone, with a bright and cutting sound that is perfect for country and rock genres. The bridge pickup is particularly bright, but the tone control helps to manage its sharpness. While the pickups are decent, some users suggest that upgrading them could elevate the sound quality significantly. Despite this, many find the stock pickups to be quite satisfactory for the price.
In terms of construction, the guitar is relatively lightweight, thanks to its poplar body, which provides a good balance compared to heavier models. The tuners, however, have received mixed reviews; while they function adequately, they can feel a bit stiff and may not inspire confidence in their longevity. The electronics work well, although some users have noted that the pots could be improved for better functionality.
Players have expressed satisfaction with the guitar’s setup right out of the box, with good intonation and action that can be easily adjusted. While there are minor details that could be refined—such as the nut and the absence of shielding—these do not detract significantly from the overall value. The TE-62DB LH LPB stands out as an excellent option for both beginners and more experienced players looking for a budget-friendly instrument that doesn’t compromise on aesthetics or playability.
In summary, the Harley Benton TE-62DB LH LPB is a remarkable guitar that offers exceptional value for money. With its beautiful appearance, solid construction, and classic Telecaster sound, it’s a fantastic choice for anyone seeking a reliable and visually appealing guitar.
