Customer Review Summary
The Ibanez AS93FM-VLS is undoubtedly a remarkable semi-hollow guitar, especially in its price range. Its stunning appearance, particularly the Violin Sunburst finish paired with gold hardware, catches the eye immediately. Upon unboxing, it was found to be well set up and in tune, ready for immediate play.
The craftsmanship is generally impeccable, with a solid three-piece maple and nyatoh neck that offers great stability and comfort. The ebony fretboard enhances playability, allowing for smooth bends and effortless navigation across the frets, even in higher positions. However, some users noted minor issues with fret polishing and setup that required personal adjustments.
Sound-wise, the Super 58 pickups perform exceptionally well, providing a versatile tonal range suitable for blues, jazz, and rock. The neck pickup excels in producing warm, jazzy tones, while the bridge pickup delivers a crisp sound, making it adaptable for various musical styles. Many have found the guitar’s sustain impressive, and the output is well-balanced, although some suggest that the original pickups could be upgraded for even better performance.
While the guitar is a bit on the heavier side, this does not detract from the overall playing experience. It resonates beautifully, making it a joy for both casual players and professionals. The value for money is outstanding, as it competes well with higher-end models, and many agree that it offers features and quality that exceed expectations for its price.
In conclusion, the Ibanez AS93FM-VLS is highly recommended for anyone in search of a semi-hollow guitar. Its combination of aesthetic appeal, playability, and versatile sound makes it an excellent choice for both aspiring and experienced musicians alike.
