Customer Review Summary
The EVH Stripe Black is an outstanding guitar that has completely surpassed my expectations. Initially drawn to its striking appearance, reminiscent of the legendary album VH-II, I was pleasantly surprised by its exceptional playability and sound quality.
The neck features a comfortable D profile that feels incredibly fast and smooth, making it a joy to play. The action is set low, allowing for effortless navigation across the fretboard. The Wolfgang pickup delivers a powerful tone with abundant harmonics that saturate an amp beautifully, making it ideal for rock music.
One of the highlights is the Floyd Rose tremolo system, which, despite my initial reservations about its complexity, has proven to be reliable and stable. It holds tuning remarkably well, even after aggressive use, and allows for thrilling dive bombs without compromising pitch.
While it’s true that this guitar may not be the most versatile option on the market, it excels in its intended role as a high-performance rock machine. The quality-to-price ratio is simply phenomenal; I’ve played more expensive instruments that don’t rival the EVH’s performance.
After a year of playing, I still find myself excited each time I pick it up, and I am already considering purchasing a second one. The craftsmanship is commendable, with a beautiful finish that rivals guitars at much higher price points. Overall, if you’re after a guitar that not only looks iconic but also plays beautifully and delivers an incredible sound, the EVH Stripe Black is an excellent choice.
