Customer Review Summary

I recently acquired the Harley Benton MS-60LH VW Vintage Series, and I must say, my overall experience has been quite impressive for the price point.

The guitar arrived in excellent condition, showcasing a beautiful vintage white finish that looks even better than the photos suggest. The neck, made from Roseacer, is comfortable and well-finished, making it a joy to play. I found the action to be set quite low, which adds to its playability, although some minor adjustments were necessary for optimal performance.

In terms of sound, the Roswell pickups deliver a surprisingly good tone. While I initially expected the bridge pickup to be underwhelming, it actually complements the neck pickup nicely, producing a range of tones suitable for genres from surf to blues. However, the tone control could be improved, as it feels more like an on-off switch than a variable control.

While the guitar is heavier than I anticipated for a basswood body, it has a solid feel and seems durable. There were a few minor issues, such as some rough fret edges and a loose output jack, but these are typical of budget instruments and easily fixable. The tuning stability was decent, although I would recommend upgrading the tuners for better performance over time.

Overall, this guitar is a fantastic option for left-handed players seeking a Mustang-style instrument without breaking the bank. Its unique sound, combined with a great build quality, makes it a worthy addition to any guitarist’s collection, especially for those looking to mod and personalise their instrument. Highly recommended for beginners and seasoned players alike!
